Get paid to read email or do surveys, is it really worth it?

Tabbitatt asked:

I am in Canada and looking for extra ways to make money off the internet. Ive seen tonnes of ads for paid surveys which I find hardly ever have any surveys I either qualify for. Paid emails seems like they are based on referrals and thats how you make your cash, no one I know would want to be referred.

So when it comes down to it I want to know if doing surveys or emails is really worth the time and effort.

First of all, I’m sorry to say, but I recommend you wait until you are 16 or at least 18. Hearing replies from the age groups of 18-45 is what most surveys look for. Most of the sites ARE a scam.

They say its all legitimate but once you sign up and take a few surveys, you either realize that you have to pay for something and in return you receive a little more than you payed after the survey is taken. Also, sometimes they say you can earn up to $120 a day but what they really mean is you have the CHANCE. Some sites pay you points that you use to enter in drawings that occur everyday. Some cash prizes are up to $1,000 in these drawings.

Don’t be sad though, there are legitimate ones. I remember finding one a while ago that literally would pay you for every survey you took and if you did product test groups, you would even keep the item. This was one of the 3 out of hundreds I have checked out before. I am a chaser of get-rich-quick schemes.

    Hope this helped!
    Jason H.

You can make money with affiliate programs. Put links and products on website[s] and when someone buy something, you will get a percentage.

    Hi there fellow Canadian!
In answer to your question….No. Not worth it at all. The amount of time and effort you invest is ridiculous for what you get paid…. if you get paid at all.
All they’re relying on is your upfront payment and after that you’re on your own. Whoever invented these email lists for paid surveys was a genius who made a fortune, but what you give out comes back in this world… they’ll get theirs!

I remember those days when i almost get mad to find one free survey site that really pay us without charging a fee. The fact is that there are so many survey sites in internet who actually charges a registration fee. I tell you what, run as far as you can, if they ask you money to join their survey site. Any legimate survey site, will not ask you money to join themsince they dont ask you any money, you could give a try, there is nothing to lose. I am sure you will be happy at the end of the week seeing money in your account. Have a great day ahead…!

Personally I prefer paid surveys. The key to make it work with paid surveys is: 1. sign up with as many legit paid survey sites as possible, 2. stick to it. In the beginning you won’t make too much, you will make more if you stick to it..

There are many good survey sites, and many bad scam sites out there. Check out - they have FREE lists of real legit paid survey sites, paid survey advice and review/ratings. It should help you with a good start and avoid scams.

    Hello,

Please review the site below for the higher paid survey sites, and send surveys very frequently. … Some of their surveys are creative–on occassion in stead of just asking
