Should i stop doing paid surveys on the net? is it really worth it?

Jimmy J asked:

Why do people say they earn so much money from this? I haven’t really earnt anything most of the time they just keep giving me other survey sights that have other survey sights… and I have done some surveys….and I might have $2 if I’m lucky all up together from all the sights. And it really isn’t worth giving so much information away; I mean it would be worth it if you got a couple hundred by the end of a month with out paying anything. Is there a trick to it or something?

Are online paid surveys effective? Have you recieved payments already?

Nawruz P asked:

Do you recomend taking surveys available on-line? Are they for real in paying you or do they trick you because they just want personal informations about you for their own interest?
I have recieved a convincing answers that indeed on-line paid surveys are effective. Well most of you guys have recieved such payments in checks even with pictures as proofs. Cashcrate and treasure troopers are amongst the popular paid surveys on-line that you have recommended, though there is one thing that I did not expect to work with these popular on-line paid surveys. As for my recent experience of registering to some of these paid surveys, most did not cater to international respondents. There are a few such as Global Test Market, SurfSavvy etc…. I got an impression of a marginalization between us (outside-of-US/Canada respondents) trying to penetrate the US/Canada questionnaires which I find are quick money gainers to its respondents. One example is the treasure trooper. I wanted to answer their daily surveys but I have been directed to an international survey and prior to that I was informed that they do not cater respondents in my territory.
