Do you have some rules about sharing personal information with females/males?

gen66 asked:

What are your rules for the good of the relationship? Do you share previous experinece with other women/men that you’ve been? Do you explain situations from the past with details to your current beloved? And if not would you do it if he/she instists a lot on that, saying that the reason is pure curiosity?
I think it’s not good to share such info as it may lead to unplanned complications ? How do you think?

in the beginning of the relationship, dont share too much, you dont want to scare her/him away. as you get farther into the relationship and your trust for one another grows stronger, you can share more. you can share previous experience if they ask, but dont get too detailed.

There are some things that need to stay private. Curiosity or not, no girl needs to hear details about exes. If they ask for a name or why you broke up fine (in most cases), but other than that it is not necessary. It leads to arguments that need not happen. If there are certain details of a past relationship that are important to share later in the relationship when it begins to get serious (i.e. a significant other who used to hit etc) then that is ok. But really things in the past need to stay there.

Don’t share that much. It’s disrespectful not myself and my ex. I keep it simple, if she asks why we broke up I’ll say “cuz it didn’t workout but i’ve learned and grown from it”.
