A few comments:

What you have at the moment is basically a blog. You'd be better off installing something like Wordpress, instead of using what I assume is a flat file system at the moment. It's not hard to do, you get lots of options, and it looks nice.

The most important thing you need is content. Lots of it. Write LOTS, and do it often. 

The newsletter doesn't work, directs to a 404. Same with the college education article. Fix these - if your content is broken, people won't stick around, they'll just shrug and leave.

Sign up for google analytics, and get it on your website. Lets you know how successful you're actually being.</description>
