Key Tips and Secrets How to Start Making Money Online Out of Affiliate Business

August 29th, 2009
A lot of people have a great wish to earn big money in the internet. If you are new in this stream, you might get lost in the bunch of ads for instance: how to earn 3000 $ for 5 minutes work per day; start making 300$ in 30 minutes and so on. It sounds great, attractive. Only there is a “BUT”.

Some people can spend 5 minutes and earn good money, but before they spend a lot of time by thinking, creating, learning, losing in the beginning, reading the others advise and so on.

First you have to understand what you want to sell. Which product or program is the most interest for you. For the beginning it is very important. If you love dogs, don’t sell something about elephants, because commission is higher. It won’t work. You can make a lot of money by selling not expensive stuff, if you believe by yourself in your product.

Make a website or blogger. There are a lot of opportunities to make a good website cheap. If you don’t want to make a website, go to clickbank, choose that product or program, what you like and promote it through link exchange, banner exchange, adwords…

Blogger is one of the best tool to make your business successful. If you make it clever and it will get constant visitors, you will gain much out of that. Make it crispy interesting on that topic, which is your favorite, think about products, which fit with your topic. Find affiliate programs for these products and place them into your blogger. Free ebooks, articles will make it also interesting and attractive. You will get really a big success, when visitors will get a habit to come to your blogger each day.

You have for sure your favorite website in internet, where you like to come back. Think, why exactly this site is so attractive for you. Catch this hint and use it for your success.

Of course, there are top products, which can provide you a commission 600$ for one sale. If you feel you can sell such stuff (hi-tech products, top softwares, big fitnes systems and so on), do it! With clever promotion you will be a able to make a fortune.

Affiliate business is growing very steady and feeds a lot of people well. I say it very sure, because I started from 400$ per month and now it is 7 times more, and it grows each month.

It is the best opportunity to work at home and to spend much time with family. Besides, you work when you want and when you can, and not when you have to.

So, sit down, put your thoughts together and write you step by step plan. Everyone can get a lot of success from the affiliate business!

The Shocking Reality of Home Based Affiliate Business

August 28th, 2009
The ideal world of affiliate marketing does not require having your own website, dealing with customers, refunds, product development and maintenance. This is one of the easiest ways of launching into an online business and earning more profits.

Now for those who do not know what affiliate marketing is… in it simplest form - home based affiliate business is where the affiliate(YOU) promote someone else’s product (the merchant/product creator) and if the customers you sent to their site make a purchase you get a commission (percentage of the sales).

Before you jump into joining any affiliate programs to promote. You should understand the 2 ways to utilize a home based affiliate business.

These 2 approaches are:

No Website:

This seems to be the most common approach many people starting with affiliate marketing take. While this sounds easy and all … which is even classified by many “gurus” as the short way to making some quick money on the internet. Though on the surface or to the untrain eye, it seems easy and fastest way to make money online.

Let’s stop and investigate. For example, let assume you just starting out and have decided to test the home based affiliate business area by choosing this method. Unless you have a lot of money to spend on buying tons of traffic, then this approach will not be the best fit for you. Simply because free traffic won’t cut it.

Let me explain….

Remember that you’ll be sending visitors directly to the merchant’s website. A study has shown that it take 7 exposures to a product before customers decide to buy. And that doesn’t take into account those who opt-in into the merchant’s eZine.

Now get this:

While this method requires no website, your own product and customer service, taking this route also means you have no control of your business and if the merchant decide to pull the plug on you that will be the end of your money making or say business.

Building Content Rich Site:

This approach is considered by many to be the long way to go. Let’s find out and see if it is true.

Taking this route requires the individual to plan because you basically building your own business. Although this method does not require you to have your own product or deal with refunds, you still have to build your own website, deal with your subscribers or prospects to build strong relationship with them.

Now is there any advantage of one over the other?

Well, if you compare the two, I believe the second is more easier because you don’t sole depend on the merchant. Plus, in case the merchant decide to get out of that business - all you do is move on to another merchant with your existing website and list.

And here’s some great news for you:

After you take the time to plan and build your own successful site with opt-in, of course, to capture the name of your visitors. You can always add step 1 above and send customers directly to any merchant site to generate more revenue.

The question to ask yourself is did you come to the internet to make some quick money or to find a way and establish your own profitable business that will continue to generate income for years to come?

If so, then won’t you agree that step two is the most lucrative way to not only try home based affiliate business. But will allow you to learn about the market you intend to pursue and find out what is working best in that area?

If you answered yes, then the next step is to seek information on how to properly plan and take this approach to better understand your market.

5 Crucial Steps to Building a Highly Successful Affiliate Business

August 28th, 2009
Have you ever wished there were a real, honest-to-goodness easy way to make money online, even if you’re brand new? Everybody wishes that when they’re just starting, and I have good news as I am going to share with you the 5 crucial steps to building up a successful affiliate business.

1. Find a hot market.

The first step is to find a hot, profitable market. This market will be your niche and will form the basis of your first affiliate business.

In order to sell a product, you need to have a buyer. So, you want to find a market with lots of buyers first, and the only way to do this is through market research.

Of course, most of the time, you can probably guess what the profitable products are, however you also need to where you fit in that market.

The market selection process starts with you. First of all, you must examine your areas of knowledge, and the things that you are highly passionate about.

Following that, focus on providing information on your niche area as information products are the most popular online. The next thing to do is to go to websites that sell information – namely, Amazon and ebay. Find out through the sites’ search engines on what kind of information pertaining to your niche area is the most popular in these websites.

2. Find products for that market

Since affilliate products are your cash generators, it is very important that you choose your products wisely.

The main criterion to choosing a good product is its conversion rate. It simply means how many visitors out of 100 bought the product. If you take a product Clickbank.com, you will see a figure highlighting the gravity (“grav”) of the product. The figure refers to how well the product is converting for affiliates, as it is a measure of how many sales have been referred by affiliates. The higher the gravity number, the better the product is converting.

Also, look to the left of the gravity number at the % referred. In this case, you can see that 84% of sales for this product have been referred by affiliates.

There is another reason why this information is important, and it also points to the 2nd criteria to use in selection an affiliate program :

Make sure the merchant is not competing aggressively with his or her affiliates.

It is quite impossible for me to give you a thorough education on clickbank through this article. If you are interested in knowing more, you can visit my author’s bio.

3. Register Your Own Market-Generic Domain Name

In order to set up your affiliate business, you will need to get a market-generic domain name. A market-generic domain name as defined by Ewen Chia means any domain you can come up with that uses market specific keywords in the name. For example, if you are going to market a photography ebook for newbies, you may wish to register a domain like “bestphotographybookfornewbies.com”.

The reason you want a generic domain name is so that you can market a variety of products with different titles. Also, using related keywords can help your site fare better in search engine rankings.

4. Create your own opt-in page

Always remember this. Your business lies in the list. It is not sufficient to just have a good website that converts visitors to customers. You got to have a mean of retaining visitors who do not purchase from you from the very first visit. Build up a relationship with these visitors by sending them regular free information on their interest area (that’s pertaining to your website).

Therefore, it is important that you should have your autoresponder account. An autoresponder account creates the HTML form for you to capture the vital data that you wish to retain of all the visitors to your website, namely their email addresses and first names. An autoresponder account also allows you to send follow-up message to your opt-in list at stipulated dates or timings to strengthen or enhance the relationships with them.

One point to note is that you should never never stinge on the subscription fee to an autoresponder account. If you are thinking of signing up for free autoresponder accounts, forget about it. Free autoresponder accounts only flood your websites with ads and that is how these autoresponder companies survive – through the ad fees paid by the advertisers.

5. Drive Market-Specific Traffic to Your Website

The knowledge that you have of your market will come in handy this time round. You will utilise this knowledge into a traffic generation campaign that utilizes:

a. Articles to ’steal’ search engine traffic

b. Pay-per-click advertising

c. Message boards and groups

d. Social networking

e. Blogs

The great thing is that virtually all of these targeted traffic methods we’ll be looking at are free. The only method requiring a real budget will be your pay-per-click campaigns, and even these can be done cheaply.

Now before we conclude this long look at the affiliate marketing system, I’d like to share some final thoughts with you about the internet business, and what you need to keep in mind no matter which money-making system you use.

I sincerely believe one of THE most important factors to your success is consistency.

By this I mean consistency of both your thoughts and your actions. You see, making money on the Internet is really pretty easy once you know what to do. Anyone can hand you a working blueprint, and the tools for your business. But once you have got a model, you got to stick with it.

Thou Shalt Prosper!

7 Top Tips for Affiliate Business Success

August 23rd, 2009
Whether you sell your own products, or you work strictly as an affiliate, you can benefit from selling affiliate products.

Selling affiliate products allows you to create upsells, as well as extend your product line.

If you want to only sell affiliate products though, it’s crucial that you create a Unique Selling Proposition (USP). Like any business, you need to make yourself different.

Below are seven things you can do to help you quickly build your affiliate business.

1. Carefully choose your niche.

There are actually two things you should do here: Write down everything you’re interested in. I know some people can start a business about anything and have no trouble selling it. Not me. I want to write about things I am actually interested in. Otherwise, I’m easily bored.

Then do your keyword research. Use a keyword research tool from Yahoo Search Marketing or Google Adwords.

Choose your keyword phrases. The lower the number of sites, and the higher the number of searches for your keyword phrases, the better the choice it is for a niche for you to build your business around.

2. Build a website.

Since you’re building an affiliate website, you will want to choose several programs that match your topic. Write reviews, add articles to your site, and you can even have a blog.

In fact, you may want to use a blog instead of a website.

You can build your website using an HTML editor that’s WYSIWYG (this means you can see your changes as you make them, and you don’t need to know HTML). You’ll also find plenty of scripts you can use to build your site. Many affiliate programs, like Amazon and Ebay, even have scripts available you can either use for free, or buy.

3. Add constantly updating content.

For the new website owner, this probably the toughest part. How do you keep your website fresh?

Many sites now make available RSS feeds, and many affiliate programs offer RSS feeds you can add to your website.

An RSS feed is simply a piece of search engine friendly code that is updated. You can integrate these feeds into your website and provide constantly updated content for your visitors.

Not only will this help you with your search engine rankings, but it will give your visitors a reason to come back. Although search engines are important, your visitors are more important because they are the ones who will buy from you.

4. Build a list.

Much has been said about how important it is to build a list. If you build a list of people who are interested in what you have to sell, then if you market to them regularly, eventually you will make the sale.

Although this is important, there’s another aspect here that’s seldom discussed.

When you build a list, you are recycling your traffic. You are making the traffic you get work harder for you. This is very important. You can get a lot more from your traffic with your list. By reminding others you are there, you are more likely to make the sale.

5. Write your own sales materials.

Although many affiliate program owners will provide you with sales materials, it’s better if you write your own.

Most new affiliate make the mistake of using what the affiliate program offers. The problem here is that the ad or other materials may have been seen hundreds of times already. Most will just click away.

You don’t have to have a degree to write good sales materials. You just need to understand what others want and then give it to them. This means emphasizing the most important benefit a product or service offers.

6. Avoid marketing techniques that don’t work.

Although many internet marketing newbies are guilty of this one, some seasoned marketers also make the same mistake.

FFA pages, safelists, and other marketing techniques simply put a ton of junk mail in your inbox. Even worse are those who fall for these sites that say, “Email 100 Million People with the Click of a Button”.

The problem here is most likely you are spamming people, me included, with your offers. Other than being guilty of spam, you’ve just sent out an offer that isn’t targeted.

Let me be clear. I’m a woman. I don’t care about penis enlargement, and I’m straight so I could care less about making some other woman feel good in the bedroom. If you’re sending out this kind of untargeted offer, you’ve succeeded in being marked a spammer, and you’re in my trash.

Why waste your time? I might be Southern, but it doesn’t mean I’m a sucker for your offer.

7. Add bonuses to your offers.

Whether you should add bonuses to your offer really depends on how expensive the product is. If you’re selling a $10 product, then writing a review about the product, or an article, should be enough.

If you’re selling products around the $97 range and up, you really need to give visitors a reason to want to buy from you.

Running an affiliate business is really like any other business. You need to make yourself different. Although there are plenty of ways to make money from affiliate programs without building a list, or a website, you can squeeze more profits from your affiliate business with a little extra effort.

How Does Profitable Affiliate Business Look Like

August 22nd, 2009
There are some affiliate business programs, which are extremely popular and profitable among home business owners.

One clear feature is that these programs have operated online for many years and affiliates have learned to trust them. My own opinion is that 5 year experience online is a strong evidence, that the program can offer benefits, which many affiliate marketers are looking for.

On the top of the good image, a successful affiliate business program needs a rewarding compensation plan, which is fair and pays according to the skills and work done by the affiliates. Experienced marketers can easily compare the compensation plans of different programs and will pick the one which offers the best compensation for the work done.

And, this is very important, the affiliate business program must be simple, because nothing complicated works in this business. If the program requires lots of training even from an experienced marketer before he can start to market it, it is most obviously condemded to death.

If I add still one requirement, that is that the program must fit for both the starters and for the experienced online marketers.

1. The Affiliate Business Must Be Easy To Start.

The key is that a new affiliate does not need any earlier affiliate business experience and the training course, email income course, tutoring program, the support forum and the online support assist the starter in the beginning and during the whole process of his home business career.

2. The Compensation Plan.

The compensation plan should always pay according to the skills and the workload, which the affiliate has done. The is the Law Of Fairness. Successful compensation plans have several earning elements: residual income, instant cash bonuses, deep override commissions and chance to earn from company wide commission pool.

3. Small Business Owner Can Do A Real International Business.

It is the first time in the business history, when even small businesses can do international business in over 200 countries thanks to the Net. This offers good business opportunities especially for those, who market special niche products or services.

4.A Small Business Entrepreneur Needs Lots Of Free Marketing Material.

And it must be possible to start the business without own website using the merchants websites, banners, textads and other material, which are already equipped with the ID of the affiliate.

5. The Target Is A Fully Automated Affiliate Business.

And this is totally possible. The effective programs understand that very rare people want to buy during the first site visit. Normally they need from 5 to 7 repetition, before they start to act.

The idea of these repetitions is to build trust contact by contact. The best tool for this is called the autoresponder, which can be programmed to work during a time of several months and to load enough emails into the program.
